As part of our ‘Advancing Neuroendocrine Cancer Research’ campaign, and in collaboration with the United Kingdom & Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (UKINETS) we are funding 2 pump-priming grants. Funds supporting the grant have been raised by the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK community and we are so grateful to our supporters for enabling us to fund research.
Neuroendocrine cancer is complex, can affect multiple parts of the body, and is one of the less common cancers. This means those with neuroendocrine cancer are less well represented in research and so have less opportunities to benefit from novel advancements.
These grants aim to provide pump-priming funds to support research projects designed to improve outcomes for patients with neuroendocrine cancer. This grant will offer an opportunity to unlock more substantive funding and should help us understand more about this disease and ways to manage it.
We are opening them this September and there are two £25,000 grants available. Any healthcare professional in the UK & Ireland can apply. We will keep you posted with the results of who gets awarded the grants.
