Practice-changing Grants

Helping patients today!

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK launched ‘Practice-Changing Grants’ to find new and practical ways to improve the lives and experiences of people with neuroendocrine cancer (outcomes must be shown within 12 months).

These grants are practical in nature, open to any healthcare professional, and must demonstrate a clear benefit for people with neuroendocrine cancer.

We will fund at least 3 practice-changing grants of up to £10,000 each year, totalling £30,000!

Examples of potential practice-changing grants:
Group-therapy pilot to support those living with neuroendocrine cancer.
Dietician-led groups to help neuroendocrine cancer patients.
Post-surgery protocol to help neuroendocrine cancer patients on a general post-operative ward.

An ‘answer’ to a survey within a centre to improve the patient experience.

We are collaborating with the United Kingdom and Ireland Neuroendocrine Tumour society (UKINETS) to assess the robustness of the applications, and once they have been approved by a medical panel, we will ask our community to vote for the grants we will fund.
