https://conference.ncri.org.uk/ncri-icrp-addressing-disparities-in-international-cancer-research/
This session, jointly organised with the International Cancer Research Partnership (ICRP), will highlight disparities in cancer research funding and identify best practice for international funders in addressing disparities.
Join us on 22 March as the panel discusses mentoring black cancer researchers and promoting community cancer awareness, patient-centred approaches to removing barriers to participation in cancer screening and prevention, and transforming race-based health research.
Chaired by Professor Richard Sullivan from King’s College London, you’ll hear from a number of organisations including Black in Cancer, Women’s College Hospital Toronto and the University of Montreal, and how they’re dealing with these issues.
Registration is free, and there will be an opportunity for you to submit questions live during the session.
Who should attend?
Research funders, advocates and researchers are invited to share best practice in ensuring that research funding opportunities address cancer disparities.
