Can we get 250 people around the world dipping on the 15th of June? Ruth, the incredible wife of a neuroendocrine cancer patient, has been taking a daily sea swim for nearly a year to raise awareness and funds for Neuroendocrine Cancer UK.
As Ruth shares, “My husband was diagnosed with a relatively unknown cancer last year, which sadly has spread to multiple organs and currently has no cure. He is only 56. I set a challenge last October to sea swim for a year to raise money and awareness.”
On Saturday, the 15th of June, Ruth reaches her 250th day, and we want 250 people to join her in the water, both in Cornwall and around the world.
Ruth will be meeting at Gylly Beach at 9:30 AM, and we invite you to join her to support all those affected by neuroendocrine cancer.
If you can’t make it to Cornwall, take a dip wherever you are and share your experience with us. Tag us and Ruth in your photos, and let us know in the comments below if you’re participating and where you’ll be taking your dip.
As Ruth says, “Please spread the word and help me get people talking about neuroendocrine cancer. Silly hats optional – laughter compulsory.”
Let’s come together and make a splash for a cause that matters.
