Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Hero Awards Winners!

Dec 16, 2024

Neuroendocrine Cancer UK proudly launched the Neuroendocrine Cancer UK Hero Awards in September 2024, an initiative designed to honour the courage and resilience of neuroendocrine cancer patients, the unwavering dedication of medical professionals, the steadfast support of friends and family, and the remarkable fundraising efforts that sustain Neuroendocrine Cancer UK’s critical mission.

The Hero Awards celebrate individuals who exemplify strength, compassion, and commitment across six categories:

  • Someone Living with Neuroendocrine Cancer
  • Neuroendocrine Cancer Nurse
  • Neuroendocrine Cancer Doctor/Surgeon
  • Fundraiser
  • Family/Friend/Supporter
  • Allied Health Professional

Open to nominations from the public, the awards invited the neuroendocrine cancer community to recognise their heroes. The only exception was NCUK team members, who were ineligible for nominations.

A panel of judges, including Neuroendocrine Cancer UK ambassadors and healthcare professionals, carefully reviewed the nominations, curating a shortlist of outstanding candidates. The final decision was then entrusted to the public, who enthusiastically cast their (almost 2000) votes to select the winners.
