Last weekend NCUK’s Leanne Talbot joined an army of 135 people, as they hiked through the marsh land, for over 12.5km in our biggest charity fundraiser this year; Vic’s ‘Clash Cancer’!
The morning started out quite cloudy but that did not dampen the spirits of Neil ‘Vic’ McCann’s family, friends and teammates. The terrain was tough, but the clouds dispersed and the sun shone brightly, which gave a boost of encouragement to complete the hike.
It was a fantastic day – from start to finish! I felt so privileged and honoured to be invited and to represent NCUK. Every person I spoke to was so welcoming and spoke so highly of Vic and his family. What an incredible guy. Thank you to everyone who made me feel like a part of the ‘family’ and to everyone who donated. The money raised will truly make such a difference. Thank you, Leanne.
